The Bayerton Area Women's Alliance strives to do our best to support women of all walks of life. This includes being staunch advocates for:
Our goal is to use this alliance to connect women with resources in times of crisis; whether by connecting them with a legal advocate, a social worker to help connect them to, or to just give women a place to turn to when they feel like they need to talk. We also aim to be there for women when they aren't in crisis, but don't feel like they are getting their deserved recognition at work or at home. Whether we are a shoulder to cry on, a group to talk through ideas with, or a way to connect with other women, the Bayerton Area Women's Alliance is here.
We are able to accomplish our goals by attending local events and by creating relationships with local businesses in order to educate people about our ideals, meet other women who'd like to be involved, and allow women to promote themselves professionally. Even though we strive to help women around the world, our priority is always the local women in the area who are in need of legal help, social support, and professional tips. This is why we work with local businesses to ensure that our message reaches the greatest number of women so we can help more women in the Bayerton area get the help they deserve.
The Bayerton Area Women's Alliance also coordinates trips to local rallies for women's rights, immigrant rights, Black Lives Matter, and more. Our goal is to make these activities accessible for women who may not otherwise have the means to make it but would still like to be involved. We book a bus and any woman who is interested in joining us can come without worrying about having to pay for gas!
We're constantly working with local businesses and organizations to create educational activities and events that allow women to get connected professionally and socially. We also use our relationships to send out an annual survey so women who aren't usually able to attend our meetings to make their voices heard, still have a chance to put in a say of what topics related to women's rights are important to them so we can constantly evolve to meet the needs of the people.
Our board ensures that the alliance meets monthly to discuss current events and activities. The meetings usually last an hour or two and include information about our latest surveys, upcoming rallies, and we ask for volunteers to run tables at a variety of local events so we can continue to educate the public about how women's rights have evolved over the years, what we stand for, and how we can continue to help women.
